QED Analytical was founded by Brian Field - a GARP-certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and senior credit risk and analytics leader with more than 20 years of experience at some of the largest financial institutions in the United States, including JPMorgan, BB&T (now Truist), Santander, and Citizens Bank.

Brian currently serves as Director of Enterprise Risk and Regulatory Analytics at one of the largest credit unions in the United States, where he leads the data and analytics capabilities that power enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance - spanning credit, interest-rate and liquidity, operational, fraud, and cybersecurity risk. Partnering closely with the Chief Risk Officer organization, he delivers predictive analytics, stress testing and scenario modeling, early-warning risk detection, board-level and regulatory risk reporting, data and AI governance, and issue remediation and exam readiness - all on a governed, single-source-of-truth data foundation.

Over two decades he has built and scaled risk analytics organizations across the full consumer lending spectrum - mortgage, auto, home equity, personal unsecured, and student lending - with particular depth in pricing, strategy, and credit risk across the entire credit lifecycle. As Head of Credit Risk Analytics and Reporting for Residential Lending at Citizens Bank, he owned the credit risk analytics function for a $60 billion mortgage and home-equity portfolio, led its migration to a modern cloud data architecture (Snowflake, Redshift, AWS), and drove the mortgage book from a net charge-off position to net recovery.

A specialist in launching risk functions from zero, he also built the first-line credit risk analytics capability for Santander Bank's Indirect Auto business - supporting its growth to more than $8 billion in originations - and stood up the pricing function for personal unsecured lending at Citizens. Brian began his career in the actuarial field, passing the actuarial exams in Probability (P) and Financial Mathematics (FM), before moving into structured credit and securitization within JPMorgan's Investment Banking division, and later CDO trading and CDO Portfolio Management - a quantitative, capital-markets foundation that complements his depth in consumer lending.

He founded QED Analytical to bring that same institutional rigor - risk-adjusted pricing, model development and validation, decisioning automation, and regulator-ready analytics - to organizations of every size, and to teach it through QED Analytical. Brian holds an M.S. in Mathematics (with a statistics concentration) and a B.S. in Mathematics, and is a published instructor in Analytics, Excel Process Automation, and VBA-based workflow engineering. His courses utilize Python, R, Julia, SQL, and other contemporary analytics tools such as Tableau.

Brian is also an accomplished athlete - an NCAA national champion, six-time NCAA All-American, and a member of his alma mater's Athletics Hall of Fame.
